MHP als Standard wurde im Fr\u00fchjahr 2000 erstmals ver\u00f6ffentlicht, konnte sich aber im deutschen Markt nicht durchsetzen. Die Integration erfolgte \u00fcber einen zus\u00e4tzlichen Chip in Set-Top-Boxen, die mit dem Beginn des Regelbetriebs im Herbst 2000 lediglich in 0,1 Prozent der erh\u00e4ltlichen DVB-Boxen (GfK) verbaut wurden.
