Der Begriff und das Konzept Business Intelligence wurden 1993 von der Gartner Group gepr\u00e4gt. Diese Analyse umfasst folgende drei Teilschritte: Sammlung, Auswertung und Darstellung. Ziel ist die Erkenntnisgewinnung, die in Hinsicht auf die Unternehmensziele bessere Entscheidungsfindungen im operativen und strategischen Bereich zu lassen.
